1. Acceptance

By downloading or using the StripVision app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app and remove it from your device.

2. Nature of the service

StripVision is an informational tool that helps users read colorimetric test strips through photographs. Results are statistical estimates targeting roughly ±5% accuracy; the precision of any single reading depends on photo quality, lighting, strip brand, and ramp calibration.

3. Not a medical device

StripVision is not a medical device. It is not approved by the FDA, CE, or any health authority. It must not be used for medical diagnosis, treatment, clinical decision support, urinalysis, glucose / ketone testing, or any other health indicator reading.

Instead, the app may be used in the following contexts:

For drinking water safety compliance, industrial ClO₂ gas exposure monitoring, or any regulatory reporting, use accredited laboratory methods.

4. Disclaimer of liability

StripVision and its developers are not liable for decisions made or damages incurred as a result of the measurements provided by the app, including without limitation:

Base critical decisions on certified laboratory testing.

5. Subscriptions and pricing

StripVision operates on a three-tier subscription model:

All subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store and subject to Apple's standard refund and auto-renewal policies. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends, the subscription renews automatically; manage cancellation via Apple ID Settings → Subscriptions. StripVision never accesses your payment details.

Apple may occasionally enable a free trial (intro offer). During the trial the daily cap of 8 measurements applies; the cap automatically lifts when the trial ends or the user subscribes. Once a paid plan starts, Apple charges the payment method on file.

Subscription infrastructure (RevenueCat). The bridge between Apple StoreKit and the app is managed via the RevenueCat, Inc. SDK. RevenueCat handles purchase verification, subscription status, and cancellations; it does not access payment details or card numbers. An anonymous device identifier (RC App User ID) is used to map which device has which entitlement. See RevenueCat's privacy policy for more.

Refunds. Refund requests go directly through Apple: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → StripVision → "Report a Problem". If Apple approves the refund, RevenueCat reflects it via webhook automatically and the subscription ends. StripVision does not make refund decisions or open refund cases on your behalf.

Measurement quota refunds. If an error on our side (server unreachable, budget limit, network failure) blocks a measurement before it reaches Claude, your daily measurement slot is automatically refunded. If a measurement reaches Claude and then fails (quality gate, parse error), the AI call has effectively been made, so the slot is not refunded; in that case the error message explains why clearly.

6. No account

StripVision does not create personal accounts and does not require login. All measurements are stored locally on your device. Removing the app or tapping "Clear all measurements" in settings wipes your data instantly.
